On February 11th, Putnam Science Academy hosted a scrimmage which was attended by teams 5518, 5519, and 5521. From this competition, all the teams learned a lot about our robots and their limitations and the limitations of other designs from other robots. As the Kingswood Oxford Competition is quickly approaching, each team plans to take what they have learned from Putnam and implement changes in design and functionality. Throughout the day, continual improvements were made on the robots. |

After participating in the Cookie Bowl and the Putnam scrimmage, our teams
have learnt much about our robots. We now have about half of a month until the
Connecticut regional at KO. We are exited to fix the flaws in our robots that we found at
our previous two scrimmages and to create robots that will succeed at the Connecticut
regional on March 3rd. The rest of the team and I look forward to competing at the
regional, as well as seeing how other robots hold up in competition. Good luck to all
participants and may the best team win!

Hello everyone! Recently, our teams: 5518, 5519, and 5521 had their first scrimmage in Pleasentville, NY. It was our first try in competing with other schools and their teams. Overall we are happy to say it was a success. There were several technical difficulties we encountered, some expected and some not. But we learned a lot about this years FTC game and how to succeed. We hope our experience allows us to have great success in our next competition on Feburary 11, 2012, in Putnam, CT. Good Luck Everyone! |

Hello to anyone visiting our site. We've been inactive here for a while due to some changes happening within our dynamic. It has been quiet, but we do have an announcement now though, and unfortunately it's one that some people are worried about. Over the summer the school was reorganized and one of our most supportive mentors was unable to help as much as he had last year becuase of the new organization. Additionally we found ourselves with almost no access to mentors from companies in the area, a severe lack of funds and no space for us to work on the robot we would make on an FRC team. Because of these issues, Team 3125 has decided to change to an FTC team. You might be able to tell by the acronym that we are still a part of FIRST, but FTC stands for FIRST Tech Challenge. Even though we had some reservations, we can now form several teams, because FTC does not require as many people. On that note we are no longer Team 3125, but now four smaller teams which have not been assigned numbers yet. It was a difficult decision to make, but it is the most advantageous and feasible option for the continuation of our program this year. Many factors needed to be taken into consideration, and it was not a decision made light-heartedly. We look forward to this exciting new year ahead of us!
